Preview before you launch
Rehearse a real call. Preview never counts in your analytics.
Agent preview runs your agent on a real page, for real, against your actual knowledge and guardrails. It is the single most useful thing you can do before going live.
Open it#
From the sidebar, Agent preview. Or press Preview in the header on Home.
You do not need the agent to be published, and you do not need the script on your site yet. A draft agent previews fine.
What to actually do in there#
Do not just say hello. Rehearse the conversations you are afraid of:
- Ask the question your pricing page answers badly.
- Ask for a discount the agent must not give, and see whether the guardrail holds. See Set guardrails.
- Ask something your business genuinely does not do, and check it says so instead of inventing an answer.
- Ask about a topic where your site contradicts itself, and confirm it holds rather than picking a side.
- Interrupt it mid-sentence. Talk over it. That is what real callers do.
If an answer is wrong, the fix is almost always upstream: a missing knowledge source, a contradiction nobody resolved, or a system prompt that does not say what you assumed.
Preview never counts#
Preview conversations never appear in your analytics, never create leads, and never touch your numbers. The console marks them at the moment the call is minted so they cannot be miscounted later.
This is deliberate: you should be able to rehearse a hundred times without polluting a single metric.
When it is good enough#
There is no score. The bar is simple — you would be comfortable if the next conversation were with your best prospect. When that is true, publish. See Go live, pause, unpublish.
