Invite your team
Add people, pick a role, and know exactly what each role can do.
Only Owners and Admins can manage people.
- Open Settings, then the Team tab.
- Press Invite member.
- Fill in the Email. Name is optional and only helps you recognize them before they sign in.
- Choose a Role — it defaults to Viewer. The table below says what each role can do.
- Press Send invite.
Re-inviting someone who is already a member simply updates their role.
What each role can do#
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including workspace settings, billing details, domains, SSO, members and deleting agents |
| Admin | The same as Owner in the console. Owners differ only in that Bidirection refuses to demote or remove the last owner |
| Agent Designer | Create, update and publish agents; manage knowledge, skills, workflows, catalog and campaigns. No members, no domains, no API keys, no SSO |
| Developer | API keys and webhooks. Cannot author agents, knowledge, skills or workflows |
| Support Manager | Today this role has no extra permissions — it reads everything, like a Viewer. Use Agent Designer if they need to change the agent |
| Viewer | Read agents, conversations, leads, analytics, knowledge, domains and integrations — and place a test call |
Everyone, including Viewers, can place a test call. It changes nothing.
Changing a role, or removing someone#
On the Team table, change a person's role from the dropdown in their row. You cannot change your own role — ask another owner or admin.
To remove someone, press the bin icon in their row and confirm. Their membership is revoked and they lose access; you can add them again later.
Who can see what#
A few pages are role-gated outright:
- API keys is visible to Owners, Admins and Developers. Everyone else sees "Developer access required".
- Single sign-on appears on Settings for Owners and Admins only.
- The New agent button is hidden from anyone without permission to create agents.
